Illinois State Bar Association Poll Shows 94% of Respondents Think Judge Maher is Very Qualified in His Position
In 2012, Circuit Judge Brendan Maher is running to retain his position as a Circuit Judge in the 17th Judicial Circuit Subcircuit 3, which includes Winnebago and Boone Counties. In a relatively short amount of time, Judge Maher has made a significant impact on the 17th Judicial Circuit. Just a few of his successful courtroom innovations include:
COURTROOM INNOVATIONS INCLUDE:
- Developed guidelines to assist individuals who decide to represent themselves in court.
- Developed a program for those who owe fines to increase the amount of money collected while reducing the time individuals wait in court.
- Revised the schedules for civil cases in Boone County to make the court calls more convenient for litigants and their attorneys.
Judge Maher has worked hard to develop a reputation for giving each case careful consideration, striving to apply the law fairly and for thoroughly explaining the reasons for his decisions to all parties involved.
